This customer called at the end of January 2022 complaining of no heat.
Our technician Mohamad completed a diagnostic on the system and found a problem with the thermostat. The customer requested a Honeywell T-6 Pro Smart Thermostat as the replacement. The new thermostat was replaced in the next visit. As a new customer we waived the service fee since they paid for the cost of repair.
Our technician fitted the new thermostat quickly for the customer.
Return visit – Still no heat
The customer noted that they were still receiving no heating a few days later. Our technician Mohamad suspected a possible system leak and began the diagnosis to determine the cause of the leak.
The technician noted that the system shut down on low pressure, confirming a leak in the system. After completing a courtesy electronic leak he could not locate the source. Mohamad suggested that an isolation leak search would be necessary, and offered a discount to the customer to complete this. The customer agreed to schedule the isolation search for two days later.
The isolation test tested each circuit individually. It was determined after an intensive search that the customer needed new copper lines and a new evaporator coil. As the system was still under warranty they were able to make a claim.
The replacement coil and copper lines were installed a week later. As standard the customer received a 90 day labor warranty and a 1 year parts warranty from the supplier.
