September 2021, Angel Nail Spa on 303 Broadway, Kissimmee, FL called asking for a second opinion. They believed that their compressor had burned out at their ground-level unit. The customer wanted a quote for repair or replacement.
Our technician Mohamad completed a diagnostic on the system and found that the compressor short to the ground. An internal electrical failure had contaminated the refrigerant. Since the system used an older type of R-22 refrigerant the technician recommended replacing the unit.
The customer agreed to have the compressor replaced for their RAKB Rheem unit. Polar Express quoted for labor, materials, a chemical flush to clear the contaminants and new R22 refrigerant. After completing the replacements two days later the system was reported as running well to manufacturer spec.
