Customer in St Cloud called asking for a maintenance/safety check on their heating/cooling system. The last maintenance on the system had been 4 years ago in 2017.
Upon turning up at the property the customer stated that he had draining issues with the system. He pointed to mold growing behind the unit and the return plenum soaked with water. Our technician Joe removed the drain pan cover and found the pan filled to the top with gunk. He poured water in and it started to leak out of the front. It was then noted that there was a crack in the drain pan, and it had been covered with insulation tape.
A new drain pan was ordered from Trane. It was noted that to replace the pan the evaporator coil may too need replacing, however our technician was able to complete the repair without the need for a new coil.
Our technician Joe slided the coil forward just enough to give clearance to replace the new drain line. The maintenance check was finished (rain the previous occasion) and the drain line was cleared.
The customer was satisfied with the review and kindly left a 5 star rating on Google. He noted that the staff were professional and the service was of good quality.
